What We Actually Know About You

A plain-English guide to the Senseigigs Privacy Policy — what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. This is not a substitute for the full legal document; it's a map so you can find your way around it. The real Privacy Policy governs in every case.

What We Collect
📁️

The Basics

Everyone
  • Identity & contact info — name, corporate name, email, address, phone. So we can run your account.
  • Payment info — bank, PayNow, or card details. So we can move money through escrow.
  • ID verification — Singpass, UEN/Corppass, a government ID, and a selfie or short video call. So we can confirm you're really you before you transact.
  • Showcase & Profile content — whatever you choose to put there. It's visible to other Users, and to the public unless you lock it down.
  • Technical housekeeping — device, browser, pages viewed. Keeps the Service running.
What we don't do with the technical stuff: we don't use it to target you with ads, and we don't sell it or feed it to ad networks. It's plumbing, not profiling.

Coming Soon: Work Diary & Referrals

ProvidersRoadmap

Two features aren't live yet, but are on the near-term roadmap — and they'll collect a bit more, only when you actually use them.

  • Work Diary — a Provider can opt in to activity logging on a specific engagement, visible to that engagement's Hirer as evidence of work performed. Off by default.
  • Referral ("email a friend") — your friend's email is used for one message, then dropped. No mailing list.
What We Do With It
⚙️

Running the Platform

Everyone
  • Operate your account, process contracts, and administer escrow and milestone payments.
  • Verify your identity and screen for fraud.
  • Match Providers to Hirers — including with an algorithm. Providers can ask us how it ranked them.
  • Investigate and resolve disputes, using the platform record as evidence.
  • Send you account and contract notices — and marketing, only if you've opted in.
  • Meet our legal obligations under the PDPA and Singapore law.
Who Sees Your Data
🤝

Sharing — The Short List

Everyone
  • The other party in a deal — only the info relevant to that proposal or contract.
  • Vendors who process data on our instructions — payment, hosting, identity verification.
  • Regulators or courts, if we're legally compelled.
  • A buyer, if Senseigigs is ever acquired.
That's the full list. We never sell your data, and we never share it with marketers without your opt-in.
Your Rights & Control
🔑

Access, Fix, Delete

Everyone
  • Access — ask whether we hold your data, and get a copy.
  • Correction — ask us to fix anything inaccurate.
  • Withdraw consent — for a specific use, at any time.
  • Deletion — subject to legal retention rules, and to anything already shared with another User.
Response time: we answer within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity first.
If Something Goes Wrong
🚨

Data Breaches

EveryoneWatch Out
If it's serious, we notify Singapore's Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) within 3 calendar days of confirming the breach is notifiable, and we tell affected Users too — without undue delay, as the PDPA requires.
📵

Marketing & Do Not Call

Everyone

If we ever market to you by phone, SMS, or fax on a Singapore number, we check the national Do Not Call Registry first, or we already have your clear consent. Opt out any time — this never affects your account or contract notices.

Looking Ahead
🌍

Cross-Border Data

Everyone

Your data stays in Singapore for now. As we bring on Hirers and Providers in markets like China, Japan, and South Korea, some data may need to move with them — but only to a destination that protects it to a standard comparable to Singapore's PDPA.

👶

Kids & Changes

Everyone
  • Under 18? Senseigigs is built for professionals 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone younger.
  • If we change our minds about how we handle your data, we tell you before the change takes effect — not after.
